Our Kiddi Caru Day Nursery in Grange Park is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Room Leader to join our team.

You will play a key role in caring for, supporting, and inspiring our children, encouraging curiosity, and helping them thrive every day.

You’ll be joining a welcoming and experienced team in a calm, homely nursery with eight well resourced playrooms and a dedicated sensory room.

The large, open plan garden offers plenty of opportunities for creative outdoor learning, with a mud kitchen, vegetable patch, den building area, mini beast area, sand and water play, and lots of space for children to run, climb and explore.

The nursery even has two pet rabbits, helping children learn about caring for animals and taking responsibility.

You’ll also enjoy delivering engaging activities such as Boogie Mites, Sing and Sign, Move and Groove, Innovate and Investigate, Yoga and Make and Bake, alongside regular walks to nearby woodland and parks.

  • What You Will Be Doing
  • Lead and support your room team, creating a positive and welcoming environment for children, families and colleagues
  • Plan and deliver engaging, age appropriate activities in line with the EYFS
  • Act as a key person, ensuring every child's individual needs, interests and development are supported
  • Observe, assess and track children's progress, maintaining accurate learning and development records
  • Ensure the room is safe, stimulating, well organised and appropriately resourced
  • Build strong and trusting relationships with parents and carers, providing regular updates on their child's development
  • Support children's daily routines, including mealtimes, sleep, toileting and personal care
  • Promote inclusion and adapt activities to support children with additional needs
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, hygiene and regulatory compliance
  • Provide guidance, coaching and feedback to practitioners, apprentices and students
  • Organise staff deployment and daily routines to maintain appropriate ratios and effective room cover
