Role: Site Engineer REF 104199

Contract Length: 24 months

Location: Trawsfynydd – full time on site (4 day week)

IR35: Inside

Pay Rate to Intermediary: £36.89-£42.00 per hour

Security Clearance: BPSS

Spinwell is recruiting for a Site Engineer for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SITE ENGINEER

  • Take action to champion a strong safety culture, maintain high standards, and drive continuous improvement through best practice and learning.
  • Review and accept method statements, safe systems of work, and all relevant documentation with diligence and ownership.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and support others while adapting confidently to changing demands, promoting positive safety, environmental values, and strong planning and coordination.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE SITE ENGINEER

  • Essential construction safety qualifications such as CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) or a NEBOSH Construction Certificate, alongside strong Construction Design Management experience.
  • Proven essential experience managing or supervising construction activities such as working at height operations, temporary works, heavy lifting operations etc., supported by an HNC/NVQ Level 5 or equivalent technical background.
  • A thorough understanding of local procedures, rules, and company instructions, ensuring safe, compliant, and effective project delivery.
  • Construction/civil engineering background.
  • Experience in demolition, lifting operations, working at height.
