Spinwell is recruiting for a Site Engineer for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SITE ENGINEER
- Take action to champion a strong safety culture, maintain high standards, and drive continuous improvement through best practice and learning.
- Review and accept method statements, safe systems of work, and all relevant documentation with diligence and ownership.
- Demonstrate flexibility and support others while adapting confidently to changing demands, promoting positive safety, environmental values, and strong planning and coordination.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE SITE ENGINEER
- Essential construction safety qualifications such as CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) or a NEBOSH Construction Certificate, alongside strong Construction Design Management experience.
- Proven essential experience managing or supervising construction activities such as working at height operations, temporary works, heavy lifting operations etc., supported by an HNC/NVQ Level 5 or equivalent technical background.
- A thorough understanding of local procedures, rules, and company instructions, ensuring safe, compliant, and effective project delivery.
- Construction/civil engineering background.
- Experience in demolition, lifting operations, working at height.
