RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SENIOR MEDICAL STAFFING LEADERSHIP
- Responsible for the management and leadership of the Medical People Function, delivering specialist services across the Trust.
- Strategic planning, delivery and monitoring outcomes and KPIs as well as performance against regional and national strategies and plans.
- Providing comprehensive and professional Medical People Services advice to senior leaders across the organisation, including the application of HR policy and best practice, and advising on organisational change.
- Delivering highly contentious information and reports to internal and external bodies.
- Managing conflicting views when providing advice.
- Producing statistical reports requiring formulae, analysis and interpretation.
- Providing internal consultancy and professional advice to Executive Directors and senior managers on complex issues.
- Strategic leadership of a significant range of Medical People Services programmes of work with full responsibility and accountability for the achievement of outcomes that improve organisational and personal performance, productivity and quality.
- Developing, leading and operationalising strategies, initiatives and policies focused on initiatives that give colleagues the best experience.
- Ensuring the culture, competency and capacity of the medical workforce is fit for organisational effectiveness.
- Ensuring the Trust is able to retain the range of doctors required to provide high quality services.
- Working with medical and service leaders to ensure job planning and rota development/management meets the needs of the services provided.
- Ensuring the Trust complies with Medical Terms and Conditions and is abreast of developments.
- Leading the Medical People Services team to deliver high levels of service to the organisation within agreed resources.
- Budget responsibility for the Medical People Services team.
