Location: Salisbury – 48 hour week, 4 x 12 hour shifts. Shift times: 6:00am–6:00pm and 6:00pm–6:00am. Shifts include days and nights, as well as weekends and bank holidays.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE INCINERATOR SHIFT OPERATOR
- Handle, move and process clinical, chemical and hazardous waste.
- Undertake routine incinerator site (non-intrusive) maintenance tasks.
- Undertake mandatory and role specific training including: working at height, confined space, first aid at work.
- Use forklift trucks and lifting equipment.
- Work to relevant safety and site procedures.
- Work to relevant quality standards.
- Work shifts including night and weekends.
- Complete waste documentation.
- Use facility vehicles to escort visitors, attend training and undertake on/off site deliveries.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE INCINERATOR SHIFT OPERATOR
- Evidence of good standard of general education e.g. GCSEs or equivalent including English and Mathematics at Grade C or above.
- Driving licence category B and own transport.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to use MS Office Applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
