Contract Length: Until 03/07/2027

Location: Salisbury – 48 hour week, 4 x 12 hour shifts. Shift times: 6:00am–6:00pm and 6:00pm–6:00am. Shifts include days and nights, as well as weekends and bank holidays.

IR35: Inside

Pay Rate to Intermediary: Market Rate

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE INCINERATOR SHIFT OPERATOR

  • Handle, move and process clinical, chemical and hazardous waste.
  • Undertake routine incinerator site (non-intrusive) maintenance tasks.
  • Undertake mandatory and role specific training including: working at height, confined space, first aid at work.
  • Use forklift trucks and lifting equipment.
  • Work to relevant safety and site procedures.
  • Work to relevant quality standards.
  • Work shifts including night and weekends.
  • Complete waste documentation.
  • Use facility vehicles to escort visitors, attend training and undertake on/off site deliveries.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE INCINERATOR SHIFT OPERATOR

  • Evidence of good standard of general education e.g. GCSEs or equivalent including English and Mathematics at Grade C or above.
  • Driving licence category B and own transport.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to use MS Office Applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
