Role: Greenspaces & Projects Officer (Parks & Events) REF 1740079

Contract Length: 12 month interim (potential extension)

Location: Bromsgrove and Redditch

IR35: Inside

Pay Rate to Intermediary: £18.85 per hour

Spinwell is recruiting for a Greenspaces & Projects Officer for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE GREENSPACES & PROJECTS OFFICER

  • To be one of the Leads on the development, management and delivery of capital investment programmes
  • Manage and coordinate Section 106 funding from feasibility to completion
  • Project manage internal and external contractor works
  • Understand and apply Green Flag criteria outcomes through delivery
  • Lead on external funding bids and service improvement strategies
  • Support the delivery of parks, play provision and community events
  • Engage with residents, councillors, partners and voluntary organisations
  • Use consultation and feedback to improve participation, usage and satisfaction
  • Support and develop as part of a team and volunteers

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE GREENSPACES & PROJECTS OFFICER

  • You will have a relevant professional qualification or equivalent mid to senior-level experience, with strong project management and capital delivery expertise.
  • You will bring experience of budget management, risk management and working within a local authority or comparable public/community sector environment.
  • You will be a confident communicator, able to work in a political environment and build effective partnerships.
  • Experience in green spaces, leisure, or open space services is highly desirable and understand to follow through on projects from start to finish.
