Spinwell is recruiting for a Product Lead for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PRODUCT LEAD

  • Be the primary point of contact for UX stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on the UX product vision, priorities, and progress.
  • Engage with stakeholders and SMEs to assess needs, priorities, and resource implications.
  • Manage and support functional SMEs, ensuring high quality delivery, capability development, and effective collaboration.
  • Align with peer Product Leads to ensure consistent approaches, shared standards, and cross product alignment across the Met.
  • Demonstrate strong functional expertise, with the ability to make configuration changes within Oracle Fusion UX (e.g., Journeys, Redwood pages, self service flows) or guide SMEs/technical partners to implement them.
  • Support operational teams with changes including testing cycles, release readiness, and change management activities.
  • Translate user needs and organisational priorities into actionable product features, using structured prioritisation, negotiation, and value driven decision making.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance customer and user experience across other lines of business, ensuring UX improvements align with broader organisational goals.
  • Use evidence (analytics, adoption, compliance metrics) to identify trends and inform UX enhancements with meaningful business impact.
  • Maintain strong understanding of the Oracle Fusion technology stack, Redwood UX tools, Journeys, ServiceNow integrations, and related platforms that support UX.
  • Work closely with internal and external development teams, including Oracle partners and technical suppliers, to deliver UX enhancements.
  • Prepare and present UX proposals and technology recommendations to senior leadership, with clear articulation of benefits, costs, and required decisions.
  • Drive continuous improvement in UX capability and digital experience, aligned to New Met for London priorities.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE PRODUCT LEAD

  • 5+ years of product management or functional experience, with at least 2 years focused on UX, employee experience, CRM, or portal solutions within SaaS environments.
  • Proven experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, or Functional Lead within an enterprise SaaS or internal product setting.
  • Strong understanding of Oracle Fusion Cloud (including Journeys, Redwood UX, HCM/ERP self service).
  • Public sector experience desirable, policing experience advantageous.
  • Experience managing technology development or implementation projects.
  • Experience leading a small team of analysts or functional SMEs, providing direction, coaching, and technical oversight.
  • Experience shaping product strategy and building roadmaps aligned to business strategy.
  • Strong understanding of public sector shared services and related challenges.
  • Experience owning or managing a functional enhancements backlog within a complex SaaS environment.
  • Educated to a high level, with strong understanding of SaaS based UX products and cloud technologies.
  • Practical knowledge of end to end business processes relevant to Oracle UX (HR, Finance, Procurement etc.).
  • Knowledge of public sector shared services and the complexities they face.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle Cloud UX components (Journeys, Redwood UX, self service flows) and/or ServiceNow portal capabilities.
  • Understanding of best practice ERP UX models and modern industry UX platforms.
  • Detailed knowledge of product lifecycle processes, including UX discovery, prototyping, testing, and change management.
