Spinwell is recruiting for a Practice Manager for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.
Responsibilities of the Practice Manager:
- Effectively manage the day to day operations and delivery services in Luton to achieve best outcomes for children, young people, families and victims and protect the public from serious harm.
- Prioritisation, allocation and monitoring of workloads to ensure statutory and court requirements are met and children and young people, including those who pose a high risk of harm to themselves and/or the public, are appropriately managed.
- Effectively manage risk and safeguarding within organisational delivery of the service in line with statutory requirements and local procedures to ensure staff, children and young people, victims and members of the public are kept safe.
- Provide caseload management and individual practice support to staff across the service in line with professional standards to ensure effective management oversight of high risk cases is in place with regard to risk of serious harm and vulnerability.
- Make effective decisions and recommendations, taking personal responsibility for any decisions made.
- Ensure that the inputting and updating of electronic client records by staff is both appropriate and timely in line with Practice Standards.
- Lead in the provision of specific areas of quality practice within the service.
- Under the direction of the Deputy Head of Service, participate in the development of strategic objectives, service plans, national initiatives, partnership plans, policies and procedures.
- Act as operational lead in these areas.
- Recruit, manage, provide professional supervision and appraisal, motivate and develop staff from a wide range of agencies.
