Spinwell is recruiting for an AWS Cloud Engineer for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE AWS CLOUD ENGINEER
- Supports the development and operation of software through tools, environments and practices.
- Responsible for underpinning good development processes including managing tools and testing environments, central code control, maintaining development standards and writing software that automates systems.
- Delivering automated software components that form part of a development operations toolchain.
- Transforming technical requirements into DevOps processes; build complex stories without additional support; manage live test environments; identify and resolve issues preventing delivery.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE AWS CLOUD ENGINEER
- AWS certs or experience
- General DevOps/CICD hands-on experience
- Terraform, bash and python scripting
- Solid understanding of Git usage and workflows
- Strong EC2/ALB/ASG EKS CloudWatch/Grafana
- Gitlab CI admin (self-hosted ideally)
- Artifactory admin (self-hosted ideally)
- Building/Managing Landing Zones experience (essential)
- Proxy Squid (essential)
- VPC networking (essentials) – routing, subnets, IGW, NACLs, SGs
- Account Factory experience (nice to have)
- Networking (OSI model, TCP/IP stack, TLS handshake, tcp 3-way handshake - SYN/SYN-ACK/ACK)
- Transit Gateway
- Network security (any kind of firewall, WAF, suricata (nice to have))
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- CloudWatch logs (for troubleshooting)
