Overview: Spinwell is recruiting for an Estates Project Manager for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.
Responsibilities:
- To lead and manage estates and property-related projects on a day-to-day basis on behalf of the Force, ensuring delivery within agreed governance and constraints, and in accordance with PRINCE2 methodology.
- To ensure that projects deliver fit-for-purpose, safe, compliant and operationally effective estate solutions, meeting required quality standards and within agreed time, cost, and scope.
- To ensure that estates projects deliver outcomes aligned to the Force’s Estate Strategy, Capital Programme, and operational policing requirements, realising the benefits set out in the Project Brief and Business Case.
- To demonstrate the values, principles and standards of behaviours of Police.
- All staff involved in carrying out functions in this role will also do so in accordance with the principles of the Code of Ethics.
Skills / Experience:
- A formal qualification in Project Management e.g. PRINCE2 Practitioner, or equivalent experience.
- Substantial experience of managing projects utilising PRINCE2 or similar methodologies.
- Working to deadlines often balancing conflicting demands.
- Experience collating, analysing and evaluating information.
- Producing well-written, concise and accurate reports.
- Working in a diverse multi-project or programme environment.
- Assertive – able to communicate position clearly, concisely and robustly maintaining position.
- Excellent presentation skills to stakeholders of varied levels.
- Able to handle a number of tasks simultaneously, managing and prioritising own workload without supervision.
- Able to manage teams and supervise individuals to ensure tasks are completed within expected timescales.
- Ability to manage and balance competing stakeholder needs, ensuring effective communication of project progress, risks, and operational impacts.
- Able to demonstrate the values and behaviours outlined in the Force Values and Code of Ethics.
Knowledge:
- Thorough understanding of PRINCE2 and its application.
