Spinwell is recruiting for an Employment Team Lawyer for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE EMPLOYMENT TEAM LAWYER
- Manage a caseload of employment tribunal cases.
- Prepare cases for hearings (front-loading work for hearings in 2027β2028).
- Draft disclosure documents, witness statements, and correspondence.
- Provide employment law advice, occasionally touching on other areas.
- Maintain accurate records in the case management system.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external solicitors as needed.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE EMPLOYMENT TEAM LAWYER
- Qualified solicitor (admitted by the Law Society) β non-negotiable.
- Minimum 5 years PQE preferred (open to 4 years if experience is strong).
- Resilience & ability to manage competing demands β fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management & ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills β liaising with clients, tribunals, and internal teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and switch priorities quickly.
- Proficiency in IT systems and electronic case management.
