Role: Employee Development Lead

Contract Length: 12 months

Location: Hybrid/West Burton – 3 days per week on site

IR35: Inside

Pay Rate to Intermediary: £250-£350 per day

Spinwell is recruiting for an Employee Development Lead for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT LEAD

  • Manage and facilitate employee relations programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on employee relations issues, including workplace conflicts, disciplinary actions, and performance management.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints and grievances, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Coordinate ER Project Plans and assist with Projects.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance within ER Law Policies and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Liaise with stakeholders and respond to queries within agreed Service Line Agreements.
  • Prepare and present reports to senior management on employee relations trends and issues, providing recommendations for improvement.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT LEAD

  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience in Learning & Development, Human Resources, Organisational Development, Education, or a related field.
  • Proven experience designing, delivering and evaluating learning and development programmes within a complex organisation.
  • Strong facilitation skills with experience delivering workshops, training programmes, onboarding activities and development interventions.
  • Experience managing Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital learning platforms, including reporting, learner engagement and content administration.
  • Ability to conduct learning needs analysis and translate organisational requirements into effective learning solutions, career pathways and capability-building initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder management, project management and communication skills, with the ability to influence across multidisciplinary teams and use learning data to drive continuous improvement.
