Spinwell is recruiting for an Electrical Technician for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.
Responsibilities:
- Support authorised electrical testers inspecting and testing electrical equipment to ensure compliance with the BS7671: Requirements for Electrical Installations and Codes of Practice.
- Provide electrical technician expertise to Plant Responsible Officers (PROs) and act as a hands‑on supervisor for electrical installation, maintenance and repair work on plant such as control systems, distribution systems and power conversion systems.
- Assist with fault finding and repairs to control systems within cubicles and plant under limited supervision.
- Able to take ownership of technical delivery of tasks.
- Capable of undertaking delicate and fragile work such as thermocouple connections.
- Work under supervision to fault‑find on large power conversion systems.
- Assist with the build and commissioning of new electrical plant and equipment.
- Generate and maintain appropriate documentation relevant to the above tasks, including writing safe systems of work.
- Undertake general work duties as required to support the facilities.
