Role: Security Architect
Contract Length: 12 Months with possible extension
Location: Hybrid/Edinburgh - Onsite collaboration when required depending on project/team requirements
IR35: Outside
Pay Rate to Intermediary: £687.25 per day

Spinwell is recruiting for a Security Architect for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SECURITY ARCHITECT
An experienced IT and Information Security Architect is required to translate client security priorities into practical architecture, standards and delivery plans. The role will provide technical leadership across cyber resilience, identity and access management, vulnerability reduction, cloud security and secure service design, while supporting delivery teams to build and operate secure, resilient services.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE SECURITY ARCHITECT
- MSc in Information Security (or equivalent)
- Experience managing a multi-million-pound IT Security technology change and run budgets
- Experience working in IT Security in a Public Sector Land Registration environment
- Experience working in a highly regulated environment in a senior role (Public Sector, Financial Services)
- TOGAF
- Creation of Standards and Patterns
- Hands on technical understanding of:
- Windows
- Linux
- Networking
- Firewalls
- Network Access Control
- Vulnerability Management
- Web Application Firewalls
- Privileged Access Management solutions
- Endpoint Detection and Response solutions
- Ability to work with the business to understand the context, and to focus on delivering value
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and teamwork skills
- Experience working in Agile delivery models
