Spinwell is recruiting for a Driver for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.
Contract Length: Until 06/12/2027
Location: Catterick
IR35: Inside
Pay Rate to Intermediary: Market Rate
Security Clearance: BPSS
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE DRIVER
- Required to drive White fleet and green fleet vehicles in support of CIC Training.
- 90% of job is coach work transporting recruits.
- Carry out first and last parade servicing on all vehicles detailed to drive, including refuelling and cleaning the vehicle internally and externally at the end of each detail.
- Report all faults or defects found on the vehicles by entering the details in the F1005 vehicle defects register.
- Inform the Leading Hands/Chargehand or the Deputy Transport Manager of any problems encountered during the detail.
- Initiate recovery procedure in the event of a vehicle breakdown.
- Carry out the Traffic Accident (FMT 3) procedure if and when appropriate.
- When not employed on driving details, assist in rectifying minor vehicle defects.
- When not employed on driving details, carry out maintenance tasks as allocated by the Leading Hand.
- The post holder may be expected to work additional hours to meet business/operational needs as and when required.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE DRIVER
- Cat D licence must be held.
