Spinwell is recruiting for a Developer for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE DEVELOPER
An experienced developer with solid commercial experience of building web applications and REST APIs using Spring Boot in an Open Shift environment is required to accelerate client's delivery of new and improved digital services to our customers.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE DEVELOPER
Significant commercial experience with the following technology
- Spring Boot microservices
- Spring security and OAuth2
- Java Script and Type Script development
- Modern front-end frameworks, particularly React and Next. js
- Open Shift
- Rabbit MQ
- Postgres SQL
- CI/CD tooling including Jenkins Pipelines and Git Lab Runners
- Significant and demonstrable commercial experience in the following areas:
- Delivering high-quality software collaboratively within high performing, cross-functional development teams.
- Designing, socialising, achieving consensus on, and implementing technical solutions for software development projects.
- Developing solutions in line with Digital First and GDS standards and best practices.
- Designing, developing, and maintaining modern, accessible, and responsive web applications using React and Next. js.
- Building reusable UI components and leveraging design systems and pattern libraries to deliver consistent and maintainable user experiences.
- Creating and maintaining comprehensive end-to-end UI test suites using Playwright, covering critical user journeys, functional validation, regression testing, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Designing and implementing service-oriented and event-driven architectures.
- API design, development, and integration.
- Using Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Pair Programming to deliver high-quality, maintainable code.
- Implementing Consumer-Driven Contract Testing to validate system behaviour and integration points.
- Adopting modern Dev Ops practices and Continuous Delivery approaches.
- Using cloud monitoring, observability, telemetry, and analytics tools, particularly Grafana and Kibana/Open Search.
- Incrementally modernising and replacing enterprise legacy systems.
- Working within Agile delivery environments, particularly Kanban.
- Using code quality, monitoring, telemetry, and analytics tools to support software reliability and performance.
- Designing and developing solutions with both relational and No SQL databases, particularly Postgre SQL and Mongo DB.
