Spinwell is recruiting for an Assistant Finance Business Partner for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.
Responsibilities of the Assistant Finance Business Partner:
- Lead by example and behave in line with the Police Code of Ethics ensuring that the force values and behavioural expectations are clearly understood and considered by managers, officers and staff in their decision making and actions.
- Proactively manage the performance, attendance and wellbeing of police officers and police staff against the required standards.
- Lead by example, treating others with dignity, fairness and respect at all times.
- Embrace and invest in West Yorkshire Police’s approach and commitment to Diversity, Equality and Inclusion (DEI).
- Assist with the delivery of a comprehensive and integrated service to districts/departments/business units/other directorates.
- Assist with the preparation and co-ordination of the production of devolved and delegated capital and revenue budgets.
- Assist with the allocation and management of the devolved, external and delegated capital and revenue budgets.
- Ensure appropriate audit systems and exit strategies for external funding.
- Assist with the delivery of efficiency planning, identifying opportunities for efficiency gains or savings.
Skills/Experience of the Assistant Finance Business Partner:
- Holds AAT or relevant qualification.
- Clear experience of self motivation and workload prioritisation.
- Experience of budgetary control, financial planning and forecasting at a senior level.
- Analytical and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of Public Sector Accounting policies and procedures. (Desirable)
- Ability and willingness to travel for business purposes.
- A willingness to work flexibly to meet business needs.
