About the Role
Spinwell is recruiting for a Registered Building Inspector for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.
About the Role
- Assessing Building Regulation applications, plans and technical submissions.
- Undertaking site inspections across a wide range of building types.
- Managing projects appropriate to your level of RBI registration and competency.
- Ensuring compliance with Building Regulations, the Building Act and associated legislation.
- Providing clear, professional and practical technical advice.
- Supporting Building Control statutory functions and Building Safety Regulator requirements.
- Acting as a senior technical resource within the team.
- Mentoring and supporting Building Control Officers, trainees and apprentices.
- Developing strong relationships with developers, architects, consultants and stakeholders.
- Supporting service improvement initiatives and modernisation projects.
- Working collaboratively with Planning, Housing, Highways and Regeneration teams.
- Maintaining professional competence and RBI registration requirements.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Strong Building Control technical expertise.
- Local Authority or Approved Inspector experience.
- Sound understanding of the Building Safety Regulator framework.
- Confidence managing projects independently.
- Excellent customer and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A proactive and collaborative approach to service delivery
