We are currently supporting a leading engineering organisation within the Marine & Offshore sector in the search for a Field Service Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly skilled service team, delivering technical support and maintenance across a global client base. The role offers a mix of independent work and team-based assignments, with responsibility for ensuring high-quality service delivery both in the workshop and on-site. The position involves frequent travel across the UK and internationally, often at short notice to support vessels in port. Please note full right to work in the UK is essential for this role.
Responsibilities
- Carry out service, maintenance, and overhaul activities in line with technical specifications and work instructions
- Lead and support medium and high-speed engine overhauls
- Work independently or as part of a team on customer sites and offshore environments
- Liaise with management to coordinate workload, spares, and job requirements
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of job reports and timesheets
- Identify faults, recommend corrective actions, and support problem-solving on-site
- Highlight additional work opportunities and report to management
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in line with company and manufacturer standards
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards at all times
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment (workshop, site, and vehicles)
- Provide additional engineering support as required
Requirements
- Strong experience with medium and high-speed engines and associated equipment
- Proven ability to lead engine overhauls and field service activities
- Experience within the Marine and/or Offshore industry
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including managing and motivating teams on-site
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving capabilities
- Good communication and reporting skills
- Solid understanding of HSE regulations and best practices
- Full flexibility to travel nationally and internationally, often at short notice
