An exciting opportunity to work with a leading global shipping group, who are seeking a new Operator for their RORO division based in London. The role will offer exposure to a wide range of trades, close collaboration across global teams, and genuine opportunity for professional development within the RORO and shipping sector.

You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of vessel voyages and transhipment operations, working closely with Masters, port agents, stevedores and global offices.

Responsibilities:
  • Managing end-to-end vessel operations across multiple trades, ensuring voyages run efficiently and cost-effectively
  • Acting as the key point of contact for Masters, agents and service providers throughout each voyage
  • Overseeing transhipment cargo arrangements across Europe and the Middle East, including cost accruals and invoice processing
  • Coordinating bunker supplies, weather routing and schedule updates
  • Monitoring and evaluating agent performance and making recommendations where needed
  • Supporting monthly P&L reporting and maintaining accurate operational databases
  • Liaising daily with head office in Tokyo and a global network of offices
What we are looking for:
  • Prior experience in RORO operations or a similar vessel operations environment (desirable/preferred)
  • A background in port agency or shipping would be a strong advantage
  • Ambitious for the shipping industry and operations
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure
  • A proactive, detail-oriented approach with solid cost awareness
  • Good working knowledge of Excel and Outlook
  • Comfortable with occasional out-of-hours communication given the nature of global shipping operations
