We are seeking an experienced maritime professional to join our client as a Superintendent (Operations) specializing in Container vessels and Pure Car, Truck Carriers (PCTC). The successful candidate will manage marine operations activities to ensure safe and efficient carriage of cargoes while maintaining customer satisfaction and upholding our commitment to the health, safety, and well-being of ship staff and the environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage vessel operations to ensure compliance with terminal and port regulations
- Support pre-fixture and post-fixture operations including charter party compliance
- Monitor voyage performance including stowage planning, weather routing, and bunker management
- Liaise with charterers, agents, and customers to ensure seamless operations
- Conduct operational briefings for Senior Officers
- Assist with incident reporting and quality/safety initiatives
- Research and communicate information on new and sensitive ports/terminals
- Manage voyage accounting and cost control
Qualifications & Requirements
- Certificate of Competency (Master Class 1)
- Experience in one of the following:
- 3 years as Chief Mate on PCTC/Container vessels
- 2 years shore experience as Superintendent handling Containers/PCTCs
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Experience in incident investigation and reporting
