Senior Legal opportunity for shipowner in London. This role offers a mix of legal advice, claims management, team leadership and strategy. Our client is seeking a qualified shipping lawyer with 8-15 PQE gained from a law firm, shipping company or P&I club.
The company owns a large diverse fleet, which will require offering real-time legal advice to internal teams. You'll be part of a legal team of 7 who are based in London, where you'll be mentoring and supporting the team (previous leadership is not essential).
Disputes are handled in-house so legal qualification and solid shipping disputes technical experience is required. There is real scope to grow and develop in this role as you'll be involved in making strategic decisions, stakeholder management, suggesting ideas for processes and leading the team in a fast-paced environment where no two days will be the same.
