Spinnaker Global is seeking a Loss Prevention, Legal & Insurance Coordinator to join a global maritime organisation.
This varied role combines insurance and claims administration, commercial contract review and loss prevention, with involvement in wider departmental projects and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support corporate insurance renewals, broker relationships and P&I and commercial claims administration.
- Assist with incident investigations, survey report reviews, root-cause analysis and loss prevention initiatives.
- Review customer, maritime, vendor and procurement contracts, identifying contractual risks, liability exposure and insurance implications.
- Support shipping documentation, including bills of lading and letters of indemnity.
- Help develop contract review guidelines, standard templates and approval processes.
- Support the implementation of contract management systems and AI-enabled legal tools.
- Contribute to regional training, stakeholder guidance and departmental projects.
About You
- 2-3 years’ experience in a legal, contracts or regulatory role, ideally with commercial contract review exposure.
- Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Experience in shipping, logistics or transportation is advantageous but not essential.
- Knowledge of maritime contracts, bills of lading, P&I or marine insurance claims would be beneficial.
- Confident communicator, comfortable working with regional and international stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and Google Workspace; experience with contract management systems or AI-enabled legal tools is desirable.
- Relevant legal, shipping or international trade studies or qualifications are advantageous.
