A respected international firm specialising in marine insurance services is seeking a Case Handler to join their Cargo Casualty Management (CCM) department based in Southeast London. This is a unique opportunity for someone with a maritime background - ideally from a P&I Club, legal, marine insurance, average adjusting, or seafaring environment - to apply their specialist knowledge in the investigation and handling of marine casualties on behalf of cargo insurers worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle a variety of marine casualty cases, primarily on behalf of international cargo insurers
- Investigate and assess the cause, liability, and quantum of marine incidents
- Liaise with surveyors, shipowners, insurers, lawyers, and other stakeholders
- Draft reports, correspondence, and case summaries with clarity and accuracy
- Maintain case files, ensuring documentation is thorough and compliant
