Head of Ports, Terminals & Agency Recruitment Spinnaker is looking for an experienced ports, terminals or ship agency professional to do something a little different with their industry experience.

We have recruited across the ports sector successfully over the years, but we have never made a concerted effort to develop it as a dedicated strategic business area.

We now want to change that.

We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of the ports ecosystem, an established industry network and a commercially led background to join us and build our new global Ports, Terminals & Agency recruitment practice.

You do not need recruitment experience.

We will teach you that.

What we are looking for is someone who: Has several years' experience across ports, terminal operations, ship agency or related marine services Has a strong network and established relationships within the industry Comes from a commercially focused background – perhaps business development, commercial management, sales, key accounts or customer relationships Is confident engaging with senior industry professionals and developing new business Has an entrepreneurial and strategic mindset and is excited by the idea of building something from the ground up This isn't intended to be a short-term desk build.

We have a five-year plan for the practice.

Initially, you will work globally across Ports, Terminals & Agency, building the client base, candidate network and Spinnaker's presence in the market.

As the practice develops, the intention is for you to build and lead a team of potentially 3–4 consultants, taking increasing responsibility for the strategy and direction of the business area.

You'll have the backing of a maritime recruitment business that has been operating globally since 1997, along with structured recruitment training, an established international client network and support from experienced recruiters and directors.

For the right person, this is an opportunity to take the knowledge and relationships you've accumulated during your career in ports and use them to build something of your own within Spinnaker.
