A leading global shipping organisation is looking for an experienced Commercial Ship Operator to join its growing London team. If you have 3+ years' experience in vessel operations (tanker experience preferred) and enjoy working in a fast-paced commercial environment, this is an excellent opportunity to progress your career.
What you'll do:
- Oversee day-to-day commercial operations for assigned vessels
- Coordinate closely with masters, brokers, agents, and internal teams
- Support chartering with operational data for upcoming fixtures
- Issue voyage orders and maintain accurate voyage/port records
- Ensure full charter party compliance and manage freight/hire processes
- Tackle operational challenges and escalate key issues when needed
What you'll bring:
- Strong commercial judgement and problem-solving ability
- Hands-on experience using Q88 VMS, IMOS or similar
- Excellent organisation, communication, and Excel skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time-critical tasks
Please note this role will require office presence 5 days per week.
