London runs the spot chartering activity, with international offices supporting other functions. The team is small, commercially driven, and hands-on.
This role leads the spot chartering desk for PCTC and container vessels. The focus is on securing spot employment, executing fixtures, and managing broker and customer relationships. It is a hands-on desk role with leadership responsibility and regular exposure to senior commercial decision-making.
Key responsibilities- Run the spot chartering desk for PCTC and container vessels
- Fix spot voyages and short-term charters
- Manage broker and customer relationships
- Provide market views and commercial input to senior management
- Support fleet growth and integration of newly acquired vessels
- Travel to clients, shipyards, and overseas offices as required
- Chartering exposure on owner or brokerage side
- Although PCTC/Container experience would be preferred, they will consider individuals from other sectors such as Tankers, Dry Bulk etc.
- Spot market experience preferred, strong learners considered
- Commercially driven and comfortable in a fast-moving environment
