We are currently working with an international ship owner/ operator that are going through a phase of fleet expansion and have acquired several new chemical tankers. Due to this expansion, they are looking to take on a Chemical Tanker Vessel Operator to join their team in London.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the commercial operation and maintenance of their chemical tanker vessels. The vessel operator will be expected to successfully and efficiently manage end-to-end operations of owner and time-chartered vessels in order to maximize profits and ensure all requirements of each charter party are fulfilled.
They will be expected to maintain vessel status updates and partner closely with the chartering department, clients, outside vendors and shipboard staff. They will also be responsible for reviewing tank cleaning, coordinating the bunker plan, reviewing the stowplans etc…
The right candidate will:
- Have a minimum of 3 years' relevant experience working with Chemical/ Product Tanker vessels.
- Have a degree, maritime certificates, ICS qualification, or diploma.
- Have excellent negotiation, numerical, and communication skills.
This role will be office based 5 days a week so it will be important that candidates are happy to work on site. Our client is happy to relocate the right candidate if based overseas.
