We are looking for an experienced and autonomous HR Manager to lead our UK HR operations on a fixed-term basis to cover a period of maternity leave. This is a standalone role where you will have full ownership of the HR function for our UK site of approximately 75 employees. Reporting to the VP of Human Resources, you will act as a trusted advisor to the site leadership team and be the go-to person for all people-related matters. How will you create impact?

  • HR Site Leadership: Act as the sole HR lead for our UK site of approximately 75 employees, managing all day-to-day HR activities and providing end-to-end support across the full employee lifecycle.
  • Employee Relations: Confidently lead and manage all employee relations cases, including disciplinary actions, grievances, performance and absence management, and employee exits, ensuring full compliance with UK employment law.
  • Leadership Coaching: Serve as a trusted advisor to site leaders, coaching them on people management, employee engagement, and navigating challenging situations.
  • HR Systems Management: Take ownership of HR data management within Workday, ensuring accuracy across all employee lifecycle events and supporting the team with system-related queries.
  • Policy and Compliance: Ensure all HR policies and procedures are implemented, consistently applied, and remain compliant with UK legislation.
  • Collaboration and Reporting: Partner with the VP of HR and wider HR teams, providing clear updates on site-level matters and contributing to HR projects as needed.

What you'll bring:

  • Proven experience as HR Manager or similar, ideally in a standalone or site-based role.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK employment law and experience managing complex employee relations cases.
  • Strong proficiency with HRIS, with specific experience using Workday being essential.
  • A CIPD Level 5 or 7 qualification is desirable.
