This is an exciting opportunity to join Spike at a time when we are growing our testing practice.

We are looking for Lead QA Engineers to join us working across our growing client portfolio on different projects using a wide variety of test automation solutions, technologies, and tools. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of both manual testing and test automation across different clients and applications, the ability to work in complex and challenging environments, and strong stakeholder management skills.

Key responsibilities:

  • Works autonomously and acts as a senior providing technical advice, uses a wide variety of technical solutions, technologies, and tools
  • Leads technical areas within projects using available frameworks to meet project plans with on-time and on-budget project goals
  • Identify and recommend the automated testing processes and tools
  • Define automated testing solutions for a wide range of technologies used on our various client engagements
  • Create Test Automation frameworks
  • Develop automated test suites
  • Lead, guide, train, and mentor other Spike consultants on the project

Required skills:

  • Proven experience in defining and developing test automation strategies and/or approaches for multiple projects
  • Exposure to web and API test automation tools and engineering approaches including CI/CD
  • Hands-on technical design/development experience in tools using a variety of different coding languages such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript
  • Agile Software Development Lifecycle Processes and Methodologies
  • BDD experience with exposure to either Cucumber/Specflow or Gherkin
  • Previous experience working in the retail industry (optional)

Desirable skills:

  • Salesforce (Commerce Cloud/Service Cloud)
  • Mulesoft
  • Netsuite
  • Other retail platforms including MACH/Shopify front ends, payments, warehousing or merchandising platforms
