· Understanding specialist legislation (standards and regulations) in the Electrical Engineering & Fibre Optic field and developing plans & procedures to achieve and maintain full compliance for the SPIE Wind Connect group.
· Ensuring adherence to necessary electrical / fibre optic safety and technical standards for the SPIE Wind Connect Group.
· Implementing required engineering standards and best practice techniques for electrical / fibre optic works, taking responsibility for meeting industry-recognized standards and client requirements.
· Contributing towards improving technical and operational procedures within the group.
· Providing electrical / fibre optic technical support and guidance for SPIE Wind Connect group functions, ensuring compliance throughout the business.
· Maintaining operational understanding of all specialist electrical / fibre optic test equipment used within the SPIE Wind Connect Group.
· Monitoring, reviewing, and critiquing all test equipment used in operational activities; analyzing suitability, performance, and reliability of different manufacturers\’ models; supporting the equipment hire department with recommendations for selection based on excellence, reliability, and maintenance.
· Ensuring electrical/ fibre optic test equipment is in good working order.
· Providing specialist functional electrical / fibre optic training to operational personnel.
· Assisting in the development of training courses and testing regimes.
· Supporting the SPIE Wind Connect Group in providing technical expertise for client clarifications during tenders, project lifecycle, and business development opportunities.
Profile
Project engineer reporting directly to the Head of Projects / Lead Project Engineer. Providing engineering & technical support for all operational engineering works in business execution. Working within the engineering support team to provide technical solutions & procedures for all HV & fibre optic operations within the SPIE Wind Connect Group.
