Job description
β’ Implementing new procedures to improve warehouse efficiency, monitoring key performance indicators (KPI\βs) to track warehouse staff performance
β’ Train and supervise warehouse staff, including scheduling shifts and assigning tasks, carrying out daily briefings to communicate back to P&L Manager
β’ Ensuring projects leave HQ in a timely manner with all requirements completed in advance β asset log, certification, Core asset management system
β’ Being responsible for incoming and outgoing logistics, including hazardous goods and customs dealings
β’ Ensuring the accuracy of stock holdings, working with P&L Manager to ensure CAPEX/OPEX figures are correct
β’ Accountability of asset management system, ensuring all assets are tagged, logged and tracked to the correct location
β’ Ensuring equipment is maintained on a scheduled basis β inspections, services, function tests β taking ownership of the quarantine and write off process
β’ To attend operational meetings and be the point of contact in regards to project equipment and the asset tracking software
β’ To attend QHSE meetings, maintaining safe working practices and ensure your team adhere to the Health and Safety policies, working with the QHSE team on weekly warehouse inspections including reports
β’ In-house training of project based personnel in stock control and Core asset management system
β’ Where possible, resolve any issues or problems which occur in your area of responsibility (AOR), and where appropriate escalate the issue to the P&L Manager.
β’ Deputise for P&L Manager in their absence, reporting to Head of Operations during this time
Profile
To be responsible for ensuring the management and running of an efficient and functional busy warehouse whilst adhering to SPIE Wind Connect procedures and policies and maintaining health and safety standards.
This includes safe receipt, storage and dispatch of warehouse items and project equipment in a professional and timely manner.
Within this role it must include efficient planning and coordination of all warehouse team members and also working closely with the Procurement department to facilitate the complete life cycle of project demands from beginning to end.
