Spider is recruiting on behalf of a growing and forward-thinking freight forwarding and logistics business for an Operations Co-ordinator to join their team based in Little Blakenham, Suffolk on a full-time, permanent basis.
Competitive Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience
Holiday: 23 days annual leave plus bank holidays
As an Operations Co-ordinator, you will play a key role in managing freight movements across European road freight, as well as supporting air and sea freight operations. Working closely with customers, hauliers, shipping lines and overseas partners, you will be responsible for ensuring shipments are delivered efficiently while maintaining exceptional customer service.
This genuinely multi-modal role offers excellent variety, responsibility, and opportunities for professional development. Working hours for this role will be 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday, on site in Little Blakenham.
- Coordinate and manage European road freight movements, with involvement in air and sea freight operations.
- Liaise with hauliers, shipping lines, airlines, and international logistics partners to ensure effective service delivery.
- Maintain accurate shipment records, documentation, system updates, and supplier databases.
To be successful in this role, you will have at least one year's recent experience within freight forwarding, logistics, transport operations, or supply chain coordination. Experience with European road freight would be advantageous, while exposure to air and sea freight operations would also be beneficial. You will possess strong communication, customer service, problem-solving, and organisational skills, alongside excellent attention to detail and commercial awareness.
