Spider is advertising on behalf of a family-focused engineering and manufacturing business serving customers across a range of commercial sectors, who are looking for a Welder Fabricator to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis near Ipswich, Suffolk.
Competitive Salary: £13.00 - £18.00 per hour, depending on experience; overtime is also available and paid at 1.5 times the basic hourly rate.
Holiday: 20 days annual leave + bank holidays.

Due to continued growth and expansion, our client is seeking an experienced Welder Fabricator to join their skilled workshop team. Working within a well-established family-run business, you will be involved in the fabrication of commercial vehicle bodies, lifting equipment, and associated structures for a national customer base operating across a variety of transport-related sectors.
This is a hands-on role offering variety, stability, and the opportunity to work on a range of bespoke projects from a fully equipped workshop environment. Working hours are Monday to Thursday, 08:30 - 17:30 and Friday, 08:00 - 17:00.
- Fabricate substructures, lifting equipment, and commercial vehicle bodies to required specifications.
- Work on a variety of fabrication projects from the company workshop.
- Interpret and work from technical drawings and project documentation.
- Ensure all work is completed accurately and to agreed project deadlines.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, quality, and safety throughout all fabrication activities.
As a Welder Fabricator, you will have a minimum of five years' positional MIG welding experience and be confident welding a range of material thicknesses from 1mm to 20mm. You will possess strong fabrication skills, good attention to detail, and the ability to work accurately from technical documentation.
A full UK driving licence is essential, and applicants must live within a commutable distance of Ipswich.
