PCV Technician Spider is advertising on behalf of a transport services company who are looking for a PCV Technician to join the team on a full time, permanent basis, based in Chatteris, Cambridgeshire.

About the role
As a PCV Technician, you will ensure their fleet is safe and efficient. From performing routine maintenance and repairs to diagnosing complex mechanical issues, you will be ensuring their Coaches and Buses are in peak condition. You will work closely within a team, uphold safety protocols, and contribute to an environment that promotes excellence in every aspect of their operations. In this role, you will work Monday to Friday and weekend availability.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and MOT preparation on Coaches and Buses.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, utilising Texa equipment.
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential problems and recommend effective solutions.
- Install, assemble, and test new equipment or components as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
About you
As a PCV Technician, you bring strong technical knowledge and understanding of mechanical systems. Have proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals and diagrams. You thrive both independently and as part of a collaborative team, bringing excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail. While a PCV licence is desirable, they are open to providing training for the right candidate.
