Spider is advertising on behalf of our client who are seeking a reliable and community-minded Delivery Driver to join our team in Greenwich, London on a full-time, permanent basis.

About the role:

As a Delivery Driver, you will play a key role in supporting the charity's retail and social enterprise operations by carrying out collections and deliveries of donated goods and furniture. You will be responsible for planning routes efficiently, ensuring safe handling and transport of items, and delivering excellent customer service at all times. Alongside driving duties, you will support and supervise companions and volunteers, contribute to training, and help ensure health and safety standards are consistently met. You will also assist with shop operations, stock movement, and wider business activities that support the charity’s mission and income generation.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Plan efficient collection and delivery routes, maximising time and fuel efficiency
  • Load, unload, and safely move furniture and household goods in and out of vehicles and properties
  • Ensure all driving and delivery activities comply with legal, organisational, and safety requirements
  • Supervise, support, and train companions and volunteers, promoting excellent customer service
  • Carry out routine vehicle safety checks and basic fleet maintenance
  • Maintain strict compliance with health and safety standards
