Customer Service Advisor / Business Development Advisor

Position: Full-time permanent in Saffron Walden, Essex.

About the role

As a Customer Service Advisor / Business Development Advisor you will support the team by engaging with brokers, handling administrative tasks and fostering relationships to enhance the broker experience.

The role is 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday, covering 8:30 am - 5:30 pm, with hybrid working available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage incoming telephone calls, emails, and Live Chat enquiries, prioritising broker support effectively.
  • Assist brokers with product information, mortgage submissions and navigation of the Saffron for Brokers website.
  • Process new broker registrations within 24 hours to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
  • Promote the Society's products and services to enhance broker engagement and grow market share.
  • Encourage high quality, right first time mortgage submissions to support efficient case processing.

About you

You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong problem solving, decision making and time management abilities.

You are customer focused, highly organised and able to build and maintain effective relationships with mortgage intermediaries.

Knowledge of the mortgage intermediary/broker sector and the UK mortgage regulatory framework is desirable.

A commitment to delivering outstanding customer service, acting with integrity and adhering to the individual conduct rules of the PRA and FCA is essential.
