Due to continued firm-wide growth, Ellisons is seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancing Lawyer / Residential Conveyancing Solicitor to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis. Opportunities are available within either the firm's Colchester or Frinton offices in Essex.

About the role:

As a Residential Conveyancing Lawyer, you will join one of the region's most established and successful law firms, supporting the continued growth of Ellisons' Residential Conveyancing Teams in Colchester and Frinton. Working within a friendly and supportive environment, you will manage a varied caseload of residential property transactions, providing high-quality legal advice while building strong, long‑term relationships with clients. Whether you are an experienced Residential Conveyancing Solicitor or earlier in your legal career, this is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and progress professionally within a firm that values its people and provides genuine opportunities for career development.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Manage a varied residential conveyancing caseload, providing high-quality legal advice and exceptional service to clients.
  • Build and maintain strong, long‑lasting client relationships through a professional and client‑focused approach.
  • Support the continued growth and success of the Residential Conveyancing Team and wider firm.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory and internal requirements throughout the conveyancing process.
  • Maintain excellent attention to detail and consistently high standards of client care.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the firm to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients.
  • Contribute to business development and networking activities, helping to strengthen Ellisons' reputation within the local community.

About you:

As a Residential Conveyancing Lawyer, you will have experience within residential property law and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional client service. You will be motivated, proactive and highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage your own caseload effectively. You will understand the importance of building trusted, long‑term client relationships while ensuring compliance with all legal, regulatory and internal requirements. A collaborative approach is essential, as you will work closely with colleagues across the firm to achieve positive outcomes for clients and contribute to business development activities.
