Detailed Duties and Responsibilities
- The successful candidate will provide full leadership and direction for Spice Village Restaurants across all branches.
- They will work closely with the owners and shareholders to define the company vision, growth plans, and business priorities.
- This role will involve translating the company’s vision into clear business objectives, action plans, and measurable results.
- The appointed CEO will lead the restaurant group with a strong focus on profitability, brand reputation, customer experience, and operational excellence.
- A key part of the role will be to protect the heritage, values, and standards of Spice Village while preparing the business for future growth.
- The successful candidate will make high level commercial decisions that support the long term success of the company.
- This role will provide senior leadership across the daily operations of all Spice Village restaurant branches, ensuring every location operates with discipline, consistency, commercial focus, and full alignment with company standards.
- The appointed CEO will maintain strong visibility across the business, working closely with branch managers, chefs, front of house teams, finance, HR, procurement, and marketing to ensure all departments are connected, informed, and working towards the same objectives.
- They will regularly review restaurant performance at branch level, including service standards, food quality, guest experience, team performance, cleanliness, operational efficiency, and the overall presentation of the brand.
- This role will ensure that every restaurant reflects the same standard of hospitality, quality, service, and brand experience, so customers receive a consistent Spice Village experience across all branches.
- The successful candidate will work directly with the owners and senior leadership team to develop clear business strategies that support growth, profitability, operational excellence, and long term brand value.
- They will lead the planning of seasonal campaigns, festive promotions, special offers, menu activations, and key trading opportunities, ensuring these are commercially strong, practical for operations, and aligned with the wider company vision.
- The appointed CEO will work closely with the marketing team to ensure all campaigns are planned in advance, clearly communicated, and fully aligned with restaurant capacity, menu availability, customer demand, staffing, and business goals.
- This role will oversee brand communication across all customer facing platforms, including social media, website, Google, delivery platforms, email, WhatsApp, customer review platforms, and in branch marketing materials.
- The successful candidate will protect and strengthen the public reputation of Spice Village by ensuring that messaging, promotions, customer responses, visual content, offers, and communications reflect the quality, heritage, and values of the brand.
- They will monitor customer feedback, online reviews, complaints, and public sentiment across all platforms, ensuring issues are addressed with professionalism, urgency, and proper follow through.
- This role will ensure all branches are fully prepared for major trading periods, including Ramadan, Eid, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, bank holidays, school holidays, local events, and other seasonal opportunities.
- The appointed CEO will ensure restaurant teams are fully briefed before the launch of any campaign, offer, or seasonal promotion, including pricing, menu details, customer expectations, booking terms, service standards, and operational requirements.
- They will review sales performance, bookings, footfall, delivery results, customer response, and campaign outcomes to understand what is driving growth and where improvement is required.
- The successful candidate will create a strong connection between operations and marketing, ensuring campaigns are not only creative and brand focused, but also commercially effective, profitable, and deliverable at restaurant level.
- This role will ensure the business remains forward thinking, well organised, and commercially prepared, with clear planning in place for seasonal opportunities, market trends, customer behaviour, and future growth.
