Your Part in It
You will join a multidisciplinary product engineering team responsible for developing advanced Workplace Experience solutions, including our Digital Twin platform, IoT integrations, workplace analytics, mobile applications, and customer-facing web experiences. Working closely with backend engineers, mobile developers, product managers, UX designers, and solution architects, you will design and deliver intuitive, responsive, and accessible web experiences. You will help shape frontend architecture, user experience standards, and engineering practices across our product suite.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain modern web applications using Angular and TypeScript.
- Translate product requirements and user journeys into intuitive user experiences.
- Build reusable UI components and shared frontend libraries.
- Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and event-driven services.
- Optimise application performance, accessibility, responsiveness, and usability.
- Collaborate with UX designers, backend engineers, and product teams.
- Contribute to frontend architecture, standards, and best practices.
- Write automated tests and maintain high code quality.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and production deployments.
- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
- Work closely with colleagues to continuously improve performance, quality, reusability, and engineering processes across products and projects.
- Participate actively within the software engineering community, contributing to knowledge sharing and technical excellence.
Operational Support & Release Responsibilities
Our platforms support enterprise customers across multiple regions and time zones. As part of the engineering team, you will contribute to maintaining the reliability, availability, and continuous improvement of our production environments. This role includes participation in an out-of-hours support and release rota.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting scheduled software releases outside normal business hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.
- Participating in a shared on-call support rota to investigate and resolve production incidents.
- Assisting with issue triage, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews.
- Collaborating with engineering, support, and operations teams to minimise customer impact during incidents.
- Contributing to improvements in platform reliability, observability, deployment automation, and operational processes.
- Supporting the development and maintenance of runbooks, monitoring dashboards, and operational documentation.
Experience & Qualifications
- Strong commercial experience developing applications using Angular and TypeScript.
- Experience with RxJS and modern Angular state management approaches, including NgRx or Signals.
- Experience consuming and integrating REST APIs.
- Experience building reusable component libraries and design systems.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Jasmine, Karma, Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium.
- Understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Experience using Git and modern CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience working within Agile delivery teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to learn quickly, take initiative, and work independently.
- Exposure to Java and Spring Boot.
