An established international engineering organisation is recruiting an experienced Senior HR Advisor (Maternity Cover) to join its HR team on a 12-month fixed-term basis. This is a hands-on generalist role supporting managers and employees across two locations during a period of change. Working closely with a senior HR colleague, you’ll provide practical, compliant HR advice while helping to align HR processes and ways of working.
Responsibilities
- Providing first-line HR advice on employee relations matters, including performance, absence, disciplinaries and grievances
- Supporting and maintaining HR policies in line with UK employment law and best practice
- Coordinating end-to-end recruitment and onboarding activities
- Maintaining accurate employee records and HR data within the HR system
- Producing reports and insights to support HR and business decision-making
- Supporting HR projects, organisational change and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications and Requirements
- CIPD Level 5 qualified (or equivalent experience)
- Strong working knowledge of UK employment law
- Proven experience managing employee relations cases
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable working with HR systems and data
- Willing to travel between sites
