Here at Sphere, we aim to bring order to this chaos by leveraging our innovative voice and AI technologies, as well as our patented Liquidity Lake, which consolidates all actionable liquidity onto one screen. Enhanced by AI insights and quantitative analytics, our platform is designed to support even the most skilled traders.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Quality is at the core of everything we do at Sphere, and so making sure our data is correct is right at the heart of our success. You will be making sure of the accuracy of our data, and helping to train our AI to keep it up to speed and focused on what we need! This role will involve plenty of training and support to make sure you have all the tools you’ll need, but even as an entry-level role, you will be given a high level of autonomy to make a real difference. We need to ensure our software exceeds customer expectations, so you will need to deliver high-quality trading solutions, working closely with our engineering and product teams, setting you up with a really broad knowledge base to set you up for what may then come next in your career.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Bug Identification: Identify and report bugs that automation tests may have missed, gaining exposure and training in the refined oil trading sector.
  • User Stories: Create detailed and comprehensive test cases based on user stories.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and product teams to ensure seamless integration and high-quality outputs.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR IN YOU

  • You’ll need to be numerically minded, ideally from a mathematical degree (or similar), and keen to keep numbers at the heart of your everyday.
  • Adopting an analytical approach to problem solving is going to be something you absolutely thrive at, analysing data, and producing succinct outputs that can be utilised by different internal teams.
  • Your tech/coding skills will also need to be on point, so we’re looking for someone who can apply a knowledge of Python, Matlab (or others) to the way in which they analyse and dive into data.
  • Your verbal communication skills will need to be on point, as you’re part of a small team that will put the need to work together at the core of its success.
  • Working in a growing fintech, a genuine interest in technology and AI will give you a great foundation for success.
