Job Title: Air Conditioning Engineer Location: York / Leeds (flexible within the area) Salary: Up to £44,000 per annum + Van & Benefits Advert body: Imagine keeping the cool air flowing for one of the busiest transport networks in the country. Thousands of people rely on these sites every day, and they rarely think about the engineers who make sure they’re comfortable. That would be you. We’re working with a respected national building services contractor to find an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer for their largest and most prestigious account, a major national transport operator. You’ll be based around York or Leeds, covering sites across the region, and joining a team that takes real pride in the standard it delivers. THE ROLE * Servicing, maintaining and repairing air conditioning and cooling systems across a varied portfolio of operational sites * Balancing planned preventative maintenance with reactive call-outs, so no two weeks look quite the same * Diagnosing faults quickly and getting to the root cause, so problems stay fixed * Keeping accurate job records and communicating clearly with site contacts and your supervisor * Working safely and to a high standard, in an environment where reliability really matters WHO WE’D LOVE TO HEAR FROM * Proven experience as an air conditioning or refrigeration engineer in a commercial or industrial setting * Relevant qualifications, including F-Gas certification * A confident, methodical approach to fault-finding, and happy working independently * A good communicator who’s comfortable dealing with customers on site * A full UK driving licence WHAT’S ON OFFER * Salary of up to £44,000, depending on experience * Company van and the chance to work on a flagship national contract with long-term stability * A supportive, well-established employer that invests in its engineers If you’re ready for a role with real responsibility and a flagship name on your CV, send me your up-to-date CV and I’ll give you a call for a confidential chat about the position
