We are seeking a proactive and technically strong Mechanical Engineer / M&E Manager to join our project team on a high-profile site in Mayfair, London. This role combines hands-on site experience with mechanical design coordination, technical management, and compliance oversight. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that mechanical works are delivered efficiently, safely, and in line with project specifications. Key Responsibilities Design & Technical Coordination Manage and coordinate all mechanical design activities on site Review and ensure accuracy of mechanical design drawings and specifications Work closely with consultants and design teams to resolve technical issues Documentation & Submissions Review, prepare, and submit: Technical submittals Requests for Information (RFIs) Design documentation Ensure all submissions meet project and client standards Site Delivery & Compliance Ensure approved drawings and specifications are implemented on site Monitor progress and identify any design or installation issues early Support compliance with health & safety requirements and quality standards Stakeholder Coordination Liaise effectively with: Site management teams Consultants Subcontractors Maintain clear communication between design and construction teams Document Control & Reporting Manage mechanical documentation through electronic platforms Ensure records are accurate, up to date, and easily accessible Provide progress updates and reports as required Candidate Requirements Minimum 5 years’ experience in a mechanical engineering or M&E management role Strong technical knowledge with proven site-based experience Experience working on high-end commercial or residential projects (preferred) Proficient in document management platforms such as: Aconex SharePoint Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) Smartsheet (or similar) Ability to manage multiple workstreams and meet deadlines Strong communication and coordination skills Highly organised, proactive, and solutions-focused approach Person Profile Practical and hands-on mindset Strong attention to detail Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Team-oriented with a collaborative approach Commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes
