Architectural Technologist Truro

The Opportunity Sphere Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a successful and growing Cornish business seeking an experienced Architectural Technologist to join its expanding Design & Technical team.

You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality developments across Cornwall, working across the full development lifecycle — from feasibility and concept design through planning, technical delivery, construction and handover.

The Role You’ll be responsible for

  • Producing feasibility layouts, house types, detailed technical and construction drawings.
  • Managing Planning and Building Control applications.
  • Coordinating information from architects, engineers, consultants, contractors and suppliers.
  • Supporting tendering, design programmes, CDM requirements and project delivery.
  • Managing utilities and responding to technical queries and RFIs during construction.
  • Supporting site assessments and resolving design and technical challenges.

About You

  • 10+ years’ experience delivering multi-unit residential developments, ideally across RIBA Stages 3–5.
  • Strong CAD and technical drawing skills; Archicad and/or 3D modelling experience is advantageous.
  • Proven experience producing Planning, Building Control and construction information packages.
  • Strong coordination, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Architectural qualification or significant relevant experience.
