We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join a major residential development in Cardiff on behalf of a leading national housebuilder. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established project with approximately 18 months remaining, delivering a mixed-use residential scheme comprising timber frame housing and apartment blocks.

The Role

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing subcontractors and direct labour on site
  • Coordinating timber frame installation and follow-on trades
  • Driving programme and productivity to achieve key milestones
  • Ensuring health, safety, quality and environmental standards are maintained
  • Conducting site inspections, toolbox talks and daily briefings
  • Managing snagging and quality control processes
  • Liaising with technical, commercial and client teams
  • Producing site reports and maintaining accurate records
  • Supporting project delivery through to completion and handover

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager on residential developments
  • Strong background delivering timber frame housing projects
  • Experience managing apartment construction would be advantageous
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and work packages
  • Strong focus on quality, safety and programme delivery

  • SMSTS
  • CSCS Card (Black or White preferred)
  • First Aid at Work
  • Full UK Driving Licence
