We are working with a well-established main contractor to recruit an experienced Site Manager for a large, multi-storey accommodation scheme in Exeter, valued in excess of £20m. This is a flagship project and a permanent opportunity, offering the chance to take a complex development from initial site set-up through to completion.

The Role

As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a major construction project, ensuring it is delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full responsibility for site set-up, mobilisation, and delivery through to handover
  • Managing RC frame construction and subsequent trades
  • Leading and coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams
  • Driving health & safety compliance at all times
  • Ensuring works are delivered in line with programme, budget, and quality expectations
  • Liaising closely with the Project Manager, design team, and commercial team
  • Maintaining clear site records, reporting, and progress updates

About You

  • Be an experienced Site Manager with a strong background in large, multi-million-pound projects (£20m+)
  • Have proven experience delivering multi-storey accommodation or similar complex schemes
  • Ideally have RC frame experience
  • Be confident managing large site teams and multiple work packages
  • Have a strong understanding of programme management and sequencing
  • Hold SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid as a minimum
