As SHEQ Manager, you'll oversee and enhance our integrated Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) systems across our projects. Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001, while promoting a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain our Integrated Management System (VIMS), ensuring it remains aligned with industry standards and legal requirements.
- Act as the primary SHEQ contact for external accreditations (e.g., ISO, CHAS, Constructionline).
- Lead incident and near-miss investigations, driving corrective actions and disseminating lessons learned.
- Coordinate and oversee SHEQ audits; internal, site-based, and supplier/subcontractor audits.
- Prepare clear management reports capturing key performance data and compliance status.
- Support tender preparation by ensuring SHEQ compliance in all bid documentation.
- Design, develop, and deliver tailored SHEQ training and toolbox talks across the workforce.
- Collaborate with operations teams to conduct risk assessments, method statements, and CDM responsibilities.
- Manage emergency response planning and behavioural safety initiatives.
Skills & Qualifications
- NEBOSH National Diploma or equivalent; IOSH Managing Safely certification also required.
- Proven experience implementing and auditing ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge of CDM regulations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and report-writing skills.
- Proficiency in SHEQ digital systems and reporting tools.
- Desirable: Membership in professional safety bodies (e.g., IOSH, IEMA).
- Desirable: CSCS card and First Aid at Work certification.
- Desirable: ISO auditor qualification.
