Senior Quantity Surveyor / Estimator Location: Plymouth Salary: Up to £70,000 + Car / Allowance + Enhanced Holiday & Benefits Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent Sphere Solutions is working with a respected regional contractor to recruit an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join their team in Plymouth. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering a variety of minor works and refurbishment projects up to £1m, across sectors including education, healthcare, and public buildings. You’ll take ownership of projects from initial pricing and tendering through to financial close-out and handover, ensuring value, accuracy, and quality at every stage. Key Responsibilities * Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for refurbishment and minor works projects. * Manage the commercial delivery of projects from inception through to completion. * Oversee subcontract procurement, valuations, and final accounts. * Work closely with clients, design teams, and site managers to ensure projects meet financial and programme targets. * Support the continued growth and success of the business through strong client relationships and commercial insight. About You * Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Estimator within construction. * Background in refurbishment or minor works projects (schools, universities, hospitals, etc.). * Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail. * Capable of managing multiple live projects concurrently. * Proficient with Microsoft Office, in particular Excel and specific estimating tools. * Full UK Driving Licence required.
