Sphere Solutions are currently looking for a reliable and knowledgable QS to join one of their clients, an award winning and very well established main contractor that primarily work across the West of Wales. Role Overview: The successful Quantity Surveyor will be working on a prestigious £40 million educational construction project based in Aberystwyth. This exciting project includes the restoration of Grade I and Grade II listed buildings, along with the development and modernisation of existing structures. The project, once completed, will feature three thematic zones: World of Knowledge, Culture and Community, and Enterprise and Innovation, creating a centre for learning, heritage, culture, and business. Key Responsibilities: * Manage all financial aspects of the project, including cost control, budget forecasting, and contract compliance. * Lead the procurement and management of tenders, ensuring adherence to the project’s financial targets. * Work closely with project managers and contractors to oversee project budgets, resolve issues, and ensure efficient resource allocation. * Conduct regular on-site visits to monitor progress and collaborate with stakeholders. * Provide detailed cost reports and maintain effective financial oversight throughout the project lifecycle.
