My Client is looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee a £6m educational build/refurbishment project in Hampshire. The current phase runs through to 2027, but thanks to a strong, long-standing framework agreement with the client, this role offers exceptional career stability and a continuous stream of work in the region for years to come.

The Role

As Project Manager, you will take full operational responsibility for delivering this major educational scheme safely, on time, and within budget. You’ll be the key face of the business on-site, managing subcontractors, liaising directly with the client and school stakeholders, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the day-to-day delivery of the project from site setup through design and short term planning to completion and hand-over.
  • Maintain excellent client relationships to help secure and deliver future work under the overarching framework agreement.
  • Drive site safety, quality assurance, and environmental compliance.
  • Manage project programming, supply chains, and commercial performance alongside the Quantity Surveyor.
  • Minimise disruption to ongoing school operations through effective phasing, stakeholder engagement, and logistics planning.

About You

You are a proven Project Manager with a solid track record in the UK main contracting or consultancy sector, ideally with direct experience delivering education projects (schools, academies, higher education).

Requirements:

  • Proven track record as a PM on schemes valued at £5m+.
  • Strong background in the education sector (understanding live school environment constraints, safeguarding, and complex phasing).
  • Valid SMSTS, CSCS Black Card, and First Aid qualifications.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills.
  • Based in or easily negotiable commute to Hampshire.
